Hitting the high notes at our special concert are G6 and J8!!
Every so often the girls are keen to put on a concert for us! We are so lucky. This concert was on Saturday afternoon. They even organised snacks and lucky seat tickets. We had singing, a witch, a clown and a play!! I took some photos.

THE END!!

Dress-up Day

School had a dress up day to raise money for Rosies - a charity that feeds the homeless people. They can often be seen in and around Beenleigh at night supplying meals and chatting to those unfortunate enough to be homeless.

Each class was give a different letter of the alphabet. They had to dress up as something starting with that letter. Us parents became very innovative!!

G6's letter was J. She was a JUNGLE GIRL!

J8'sletter was M! She was a MAGICIAN!

T10 had the letter S! I had a costume for a surgeon, surfer, sport person, scout ..... He went as a SCHOOL BOY IN FREE DRESS!!

J8 researches 'Why we need water?'

I cannot get this poster the right way around so you will have to turn your head onto the side to view it. Josie spent a long time researching the reasons why we need water on the internet. She also knew quite a lot of reasons herself. She discovered that we need water for our bodies - to keep us alive, for animals to live, for the trees to grow to produce oxygen for us to breath, to clean, to wash, for recreationfor jobs.....We can survive without food for 30 -40 days but only a few days without water. Three quarters of our bodies are made up of water.
There are many facts placed all around the edge of the poster!! The rest of the information is presented on clouds and the pictures are represented in raindrops!! Her teacher thought she did a great job and had been listening and contributing to the class discussions.

T10 has a birthday sleep over - at last!!

T10 had 4 friends for a birthday sleepover. I prepared nothing as it was for the 'big' boys! T10 wanted to play the PlayStation, Sing Star and Lego with his mates. One friend brought his iToy so the boys could see themselves on the tv screen! The hit of the night was a Simpsons PlayStation game. I think they snuck it back on at about 11pm after I had put them all to bed. Dinner was KFC! They ate a bucket and extra chips!! Then we enjoyed a Freddo Ice cream cake!! Thomas had a great time which finished with pancakes and cereal for breakfast.
